BEP Employees Celebrate Bard's 100th Anniversary
On Wednesday, August 8, BEP celebrated the Company’s 100th anniversary at the beautiful Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Perched high above Crane Beach, the Crane Estate encompasses over 3,000 acres of beaches, salt marshes, and rolling lawns, along with breathtaking views of the Atlantic and provided a beautiful setting for this festive occasion.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Grand Allee, where President Tim Collins spoke briefly to the group of 150 employees and their guests and gave a champagne toast using champagne flutes embossed with the Bard 100th anniversary gold seal which employees were invited to keep as mementos of the occasion.
A brief shower couldn’t have been timed better, as it brought everyone inside just as dinner was served – a New England clambake, complete with steamers, lobsters, and clam chowder. Coffee and strawberry shortcake stations were also set up indoors next to the Bard Time Tunnel, which provided a good reminder of the Bard’s rich history and technological achievements.
DJ Raffi provided music throughout the evening from the terrace. As the skies cleared and a rainbow appeared after dinner, most employees moved back out to the terrace to socialize and enjoy after-dinner dancing.
